Section 2: Position Summary
Describe the purpose of this position, why the position exists.
The Accounts Receivable Manager is accountable for overseeing the collection of our receivables by analyzing
data trends, setting and driving collection strategy, and oversight of the collection & cash application teams and
associated processes.
Section 3: Major Position Accountabilities
List the main accountabilities of this position. Accountabilities may be grouped by category, e.g., Financial, People, etc.
Develops a plan that aligns to the overall corporate business’ strategic plans and immediate manager’s
business plan.
Establishes, updates, eliminates and/or adds policy and procedures to existing collection and cash
application strategies.
Manages third party vendor relationships with key AR tools & functionalities.
Reviews metrics, propose changes, and analyzes data for current trending and future strategy.
Prepares and reviews bad debt recommendations with senior finance leadership and direct manager.
Reviews and recommends next steps on disputed invoices.
Works with field leaders and operational teams to ensure collection goals are met.
Prepares and analyzes AR data.
Sets up regular touchpoints with Team and Field Organization for alignment.
Acts as key contact for Accounts Receivable in all areas relating to Cash Application & Collections.
Works with our banks and treasury teams to ensure compliance and accuracy is being maintained.

Knowledge, Skills, and Application
Knowledge – Heavy Civil construction, plan reading & mark ups, construction management
Application of Skills – Identification of utility conflicts and develop plans to eliminate or reduce same
Social Process Skills – Strong communication skills – written & oral, organizational skills,
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 10+ years in Accounts Receivable management preferred.
Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or similar role.
Experience managing a team of accounts receivable professionals preferred.
Professional confident leader.
Excellent team building skills.
Experience in Oracle and/or Getpaid a plus.
Good knowledge of MS Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
