Automation Engineer – Kalamazoo

Our client is seeking an Automation Engineer to partner with our project teams in performing Process Automation support at a client site in Kalamazoo, MI.

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Five to ten years of process automation experience or robotics experience is required.

Experience
The successful candidate will be accomplished in automated systems design and programming utilizing Allen-Bradley PLC controllers and ladder logic development tools, and Intel based computers and Microsoft operating systems and the Microsoft family of developer’s packages with emphasis on Visual Basic and/or Visual C++. Knowledge and experience of GMP manufacturing environment is desired.

Additional Preferences: Proficiency with various Rockwell Automation platforms, including Allen-Bradley PLC RSLogix programming. Proficiency with Allen-Bradley RSView HMI programming environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Basic and/or Visual C++. Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office Products. Experience with GAMP. Demonstrated oral and written communication. Strong collaborative skills. Knowledge of Vision Systems.
