This role requires a deep understanding of database management systems and proficiency in various coding languages to support and automate database processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who can contribute to the company&#8217;s data strategy and operations.<br /><br />Key Responsibilities:<br /><br />

<li>Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.</li>
<li>Optimization and Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks, and implement best practices for scalability.</li>
<li>Data Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.</li>
<li>Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime in case of system failures.</li>
<li>Automation and Scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools using various programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, Shell scripting) to streamline database maintenance and operations.</li>
<li>Database Development Support: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that support application requirements and business goals.</li>
<li>Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate regular reports on database performance and usage.</li>
<li>Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Operations and other stakeholders to support business needs and technical requirements.</li>

<br />Qualifications:<br /><br />

<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.</li>
<li>5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with a strong track record in database management and optimization.</li>
<li>Proficiency in various database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.</li>
<li>Strong coding skills in multiple programming languages, including but not limited to SQL, Python, Java, and Shell scripting.</li>
<li>Experience with cloud-based databases and services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.</li>
<li>Solid understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards.</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.</li>
