This position serves as a strategic human resources director and will be responsible for the design, implementation, and communication of the company’s total reward strategy. The director is responsible for ensuring all of our reward programs, including benefits, compensation, and HRIS and payroll systems are competitive, sustainable, scalable, and have an impact on the long and short term performance of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of our Total Rewards programs including health, welfare, wellness, retirement, base pay, incentives, and other rewards
  • Develops Total Rewards philosophy and supporting policies and practices
  • Leads discussions with key stakeholders and partners to define and refine benefit, compensation and HRIS and payroll strategies, programs, and practices to support business objectives and elevate the employee experience.
  • Partners with leadership to leverage compensation and benefits programs to meet organizational objectives
  • Oversees the management of benefits vendor relationships, benefits contracts, and bid negotiations
  • Designs and administers compensation programs including base and variable pay, merit, compensation planning, and market analysis with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Analyzes the market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of our compensation and benefit plans to ensure they optimize our ability to attract and retain top talent
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of HR legal requirements, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed
  • Facilities HR projects and initiatives as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the execution and interpretation of policies and for the successful operation of assigned units. Has authority for hiring and disciplining employees. May be responsible for directing the work of first-line supervisors

Position Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field (Human Resources, Business Management, Finance, etc)
  • 10 to 13 years or more of Human Resources experience including Total Rewards
  • 7 to 10 years or more of leading people in an HR or Total Rewards environment
  • A valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in business related field (Business Management, Finance, Marketing, etc.)
  • 12-15 years or more of Human Resources experience including Total Rewards
  • 12-15 years or more of leading people in an HR or Total Rewards environment
  • SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP), or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) credential
