Internal Communications Manager
Location: Indianapolis IN
Position Summary
The incumbent is responsible for leading, developing and executing the organizations internal
communications strategy. The incumbent should be able to make employee communication concise and
interesting. The content and delivery need to be reflective of our culture. The selected leader will serve
as the champion of our employee communication efforts with staff at all levels of the organization.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Partner with internal stakeholders to create and distribute relevant and timely communication
to employees through multiple communication channels
Create communication that reflects the organization's culture, is interesting to read, and easily
digestible by a diverse employee population
Work closely with Sr. Executive leadership to develop content and ensure that our company
messages are clear, concise, and in line with the broader company strategy
Work closely with leadership across departments to develop best practices for internal
communications that will increase staff engagement and sharing of information
Champion the internal communications committee to drive communication throughout the
organization
Lead in the development of effective and cost-effective internal communications solutions using
a range of new and existing tools
Partner with all divisions to assist in the composition and distribution of internal messages
Other related responsibilities as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct supervision duties, but accountable for overseeing all unit operations and ensuring
they adhere to company policies and procedure
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or similar degree
7-10 years of internal communications or related experience
Outstanding composition skills
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
Preferred:
15+ years of internal communications or related experience
Advanced degree in Journalism or related degree
