Job Description

We are looking for an experienced MES Engineer who can be a customer facing individual capable of executing projects in the Manufacturing Level 3 space – the boundary between computer automation and IT systems. This individual will be responsible for coordinating with customer site contacts and implementing solutions in a challenging real-time process environment. The MES Engineer must be able to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues. Project execution tasks include the installation and configuration of Syncade MES systems, Reports, Interfaces to Automation and ERP systems. This ranges from the initial server installation to the configuration of data systems with interfaces to a wide variety of possible 3rd party data sources. Experience with Windows, network configuration, and software development in various languages is required. He/she shall be responsible for implementing the configuration and/or the custom software components necessary to meet the project requirements for the projects to which he/she is assigned. On-site customer visits will occur to implement the solutions and to facilitate startup and training activities.

Responsibilities:
● Conceptualize, design, program, test, and deploy advanced PLC-based automation applications to enhance operational efficiency.
● Develop and interpret electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic diagrams, and effectively apply industry standards such as ISA S88.
● Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting PLC control systems, including integration with various instrumentation such as pressure, flow, valves, temperature, and motor drives.
● Utilize your expertise in PLC programming, particularly with platforms like Emerson, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or Schneider Electric
● Demonstrate exceptional technical acumen and customer service skills during on-site visits, ensuring seamless integration and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required:
● Hands-on Experience: Minimum of 2 years & #39; experience working with PLC systems in industrial settings, complemented by a solid foundation in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
● Willingness to Travel: Comfortable with occasional travel, up to 10%, within our 4-state territory, with Indianapolis serving as your home base.
● Education: You hold a 4-year B.S. degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
● Delta V Experience

Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (prefer Electrical) with a minimum of (2) years’ experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
