Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting
Position Overview
The Manager of Business Intelligence and Reporting will lead the strategy, development,
and optimization of data analytics, reporting, and visualization initiatives across the
organization. This role will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, ensuring data
integrity, delivering actionable insights, and partnering with business leaders to drive data-
informed decisions. In addition to BI strategy and operational oversight. This position will
champion process improvement initiatives and serve as a project leader for cross-functional
analytics projects—ensuring alignment with business priorities, efficient resource
utilization, and measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
 Develop and execute the BI and reporting strategy aligned with organizational goals.
 Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and security.
 Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and complete reporting
requests and performance metrics.
Project Leadership
 Serve as the project lead for key BI initiatives, from planning through execution and
delivery.
 Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while ensuring alignment with
business objectives.
 Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are met and risks are mitigated.
 Maintain clear documentation, communication, and progress tracking for stakeholders.
Process Improvement
 Evaluate existing reporting and analytics processes for efficiency and accuracy.
 Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and
eliminate redundancies.
 Monitor post-implementation results to ensure sustained performance gains.
Team & Project Management
 Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing BI and reporting team.
 Oversee project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
 Ensure team members have training and tools to deliver high-quality analyses.

Data; Reporting
 Lead the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, scorecards, and
standard reports.

 Drive automation of reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
 Ensure consistency, accuracy, and reliability of all reports.
Analysis & Insights
 Translate data into actionable insights to inform business decisions.
 Conduct deep-dive analyses on key performance indicators and business trends.
 Present findings to senior management with clear narratives and visualizations.
Systems & Tools
 Manage BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Synapse, Azure Analysis Services) and oversee
system enhancements.
 Stay current with emerging BI technologies and analytical best practices.
Qualifications

Education; Experience
 Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
 7+ years in business intelligence, reporting, or analytics roles, with at least 3 years in a
management capacity.
 Proven experience leading projects and implementing process improvements in a BI
environment.
 Strong track record with BI tools and SQL-based querying.
